Shipping usually takes 1–7 business days, depending on where you are and whether you choose Standard or Express.

We dispatch orders the same day if they are in before 2pm on a weekday, otherwise the next business day. After that it is with Australia Post. We will help if there is a problem, but we are not responsible for delays once it has left us.

Yes, once your order is shipped, you'll receive an online tracking number to monitor its delivery status online the entire way.

Match the cream to the job, not the colour on the lid.

• Short work, waxing, PMU, or you need it on and working fast: Blue. Fast absorption, shorter window.
• Sensitive skin, or you want strong numb without going to the top of the range: Yellow.
• Standard tattoo, piercing, or laser, and you want it to hold: Gold, or Gold Triple Action if you want the longer layered formula.
• Long session, big piece, low pain tolerance: Black or Artist Series Black. That is the endurance end of the range.
• Not sure: Black or Gold if the session is long or in painful areas.

Cream is the prep. It goes on clean, dry skin, thick, under cling film. Leave it on for your cream's full time: 60 to 90 minutes for Blue, Yellow and Green, 30 to 60 minutes for CS Lab, 90 to 120 minutes for Max Strength Gold, Platinum Black, Artist Series Black and Rambo, and 120 to 150 minutes (2 to 2½ hours) for Gold Triple Action. Removing the cream early can shorten how long it works, and in some cases it may not activate at all. Keep the cream on thick and wrapped for the full suggested time. Once the skin is open, cream is the wrong tool. That is what the mid-session gear is for.

• Gone in 60 spray or the comfort spray: quick hit on worked skin when the numb starts to fade.
• Comfort foam or cooling gel: same idea, better if the artist wants something they can control on the area.
• Liquid freeze: for the bite on open skin mid-piece.
• Aftercare balm: after the session, not during. Keeps the fresh tattoo calm while it heals.

Half-day pieces are where the stack earns its money. Cream before, spray or gel through the sitting, balm after. The Half Day Survival Kit is that setup in one box. Spend $100 or more on TKTX creams and the spray is free.

Nothing in the strength. Pink and white are the same cream. Pink was brought in about 20 years ago so genuine stock was easier to pick from the fakes, which were copying the old white cream. That split does not mean much now. The factories all make both, and the internet is full of conflicting stories about which colour is "real" or stronger. It is not a strength thing. Strength is the line on the box: Gold, Black, Blue, Yellow, Green. Colour is preference. Some people reckon the red pigment in the pink is kinder on their skin. Others reckon it is not.

A lot of bad reviews online are either fakes or cream that was rubbed in thin and left uncovered. Used right, you should feel pressure and the machine, not the sharp sting. Results vary with skin, placement and how long it was on for. Elbows, ribs, feet and anything bony will always talk more than a fleshy spot. If you have had a reaction to anaesthetic cream before, or you are pregnant, check with your artist or a doctor first.
