Application information

The cream — before the session

Clean, dry, unbroken skin only. Put on a thick layer. Cover with plastic wrap. Leave it on until the area goes quiet, usually around 60 to 90 minutes. Wipe it all off before your artist starts. Do not put the cream on open skin.

The spray — during the session

Gone in 60 is the backup. If the cream starts wearing off or misses a spot, your artist sprays it on open skin. Wait a few minutes. It's numb again. Reapply as often as necessary.

Hustle Butter — after the session

Once you're done, wash the area, pat it dry, then a thin layer of Hustle Butter. Don't smother it. Use it while it heals to keep the ink bright and the skin calm.

Mentos — during the sit

Hours in the chair drains you. A quick sugar hit keeps your levels up so you keep powering through. Eat them when you start fading, not all at once at the start.

How much you get

Five tubes covers a half-day session. Stronger creams can stretch that toward a full day. One tube is roughly one decent-sized area. Your artist will know if you need more wrap time.

Before you use it

Patch test the day before on a small spot. External use only. Keep out of eyes and mouth. Don't use the strongest creams on the face. If you're pregnant, on medication, or have broken or infected skin, skip it and ask your artist first.
